| From the M6 Exit the M6 at Junction 41, signposted Wigton. Take the B5305, again signposted Wigton. At the crossroads, turn left on to the B5299 to Caldbeck. On reaching Caldbeck, follow the signs to Uldale. There is one crossroads in Uldale. On arriving here from Caldbeck turn left signposted Orthwaite. Follow this road for about a mile. On descending a steep hill (you can see Overwater now) turn left at the bottom. Stockdale Hall is straight in front of you (quarter of a mile). |
| From Keswick From Keswick take the A591 towards Carlisle. After about ten miles, you will come to a large crossroads. Take the road signposted Uldale and Ireby. Follow this road for 2-3 miles then take a right turn where you see signpost for Overwater and Longlands. Follow this road for one mile around Overwater and you will find Stockdale Hall. |
